    Many Ask What Is Solar Power Doing For Mankind

    While many people understand that the sun provides more power in an hour than the world can use in a year, they still wonder what is solar power good for and how can it benefit me? While the idea of using the power of the sunlight has been around for more than 100 years, it was not until the late 1970s that a genuine effort was made to learn about what is solar power and how it can help reduce the world's reliance on non-renewable energy sources.

    Oil, coal and natural gas will only last so long, and estimates of the remaining supply vary from scientist to scientist as well as from government to government.
